What Does The Stool Test Report Of A 5-month-old Indicate?

Hello Doctor. My 5 month old daughter had 4 times green watery stools day before yesterday and 2 times yesterday. She has no other symptoms and today so far she has done no stools. She seems to be perfectly fine but we got her stool test done. It shows 2-4 RBC and 15-20 PUS cells. Is there anything to be worried for?

Hi,

Really tricky. It's just hard to say. With fever YES. If stools lessened, then hard to say there is a problem. Minor germs/adjustment to living/ practically anything can cause minor problems. and the RBC and pus cells would be 10 to 100 times higher in most real diseases. Some of the minor parasites that young children get like pin worms can do this, but not anything worse. It's mainly how things go over the next couple days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
