What Does The Total Cholesterol Levels In The Lipid Test Report Suggest?
Hi, I have total cholesterol - 293.7 mg/dl. Triglycerides - 134.2 mg/dl, HDL 55.3 mg/dl, LDL is 212 mg/dl and vldl is 26.4 mg/dl. Need detailed understanding on what the lipid test results mean? What should i do to reduce LDL and total cholesterol? Thanks,
Your findings may indicate altered lipid profile. LDL and cholesterol level are raised. You may need diet and life style modification. I also suggest to take atorvastatin 10 mg single tablet at night after dinner. You should go for brisk walk and exercise regularly. Avoid taking saturated fat.Take lot of fibers in your diet in the form of vegetables and fruits. Avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
Get well soon. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
