The impression from ultrasonography report states the following "Left Renal Calyceal Calculus Mild Dilatation of bi-lateral pelvic-calyceal systems and uteres with significant post void residue" Urinay bladder is distended and shows significant post-viod residue, wall thickness measures 5.3 mm. Calculus measuring 12.8 x 8.8 mm. Prostate normal, no free fluid in the abdomen pelvis. Can you help me understand the meaning of the above and do i need to go for surgery?
1.The report suggests that there is a calculus seen in the left renal calyx with measurements mentioned. 2.And also bilaterally hydro uretero-nephrosis which suggest distal obstruction. 3.The bladder wall seen thickened with significant post void - which suggest the features of the cystitis. 4.The calculus with that size generally cant pass by its own - there are differed ways to break the cal and release out. 5.The bladder symptoms can be treated with a course of antibiotic with plenty of fluids.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
