I have just received an ultrasound report. What does "hyperechoic lesion showing posterior acoustic showing" mean? After a visit to my GP, I was just told to expect a call from the hospital. There is further information regarding other things on the ultrasound report however, I think this might be the issue.
Hyperechoic lesion showing posterior acoustic shadow means lesion is bright in echotexture with its shadow. It may be due to calcium containing lesion like calculus. Report doesn't mention about site of the lesion. It may be in gall bladder or kidney. It is difficult to interpret without full report. Hope i have answered your query.
