Hello
Urine analysis findings may suggest renal parenchymal disease.
Utrasound may be advised to see echotexture of kidneys. In renal parenchymal disease, echotexture of kidneys are raised with loss of cortico-medullary differentiation, this may be the reason for advising ultrasound.
Renal disease is indicated by excess loss of albumin(proteinuria)and hematuria(RBC in urine).
Renal parenchymal disease may be due to many reasons like
glomerulonephritis,chronic
diabetes mellitus,chronic hypertension etc.
This need clinical correlation and further investigations.
Investigations include routine hemogram, random blood sugar, complete renal function test(include serum urea, creatinine, creatinine clearance, serum sodium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, phosphate),GFR estimation,24 hour urinary protein excretion etc.
Your daughter may need diet restrictions and medicines after complete investigations.
Get well soon.
Take Care
