What Does These CAT Scan Of Pelvis Indicate?
My 85 year old mother is scheduled to see a urologist next week because a cat scan noted "fullness right renal collecting system". She was recently in a car accident where she fractured her pelvis. What does this mean and is it related to the accident?

Fullness in the renal collecting system indicates amount of obstruction or blockage distal to the kidney either in ureter or bladder. This is in definite relation to the accident. As there was fractured pelvis, there must be associated injury to the urinary bladder or ureter causing back pressure changes and fullness in the renal collecting system.
