What Does These Transvaginal And Abdominal Ultrasound Report Mean?

transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound was inconclusive. Endometrium not well visualized due to heterogeneous myometrium. what does that mean? left ovary not well seen. transabdominal images show a possible mass adjacent to left side of cervix, versus fibroid or the left ovary. ill defined but measures approx. 2.8 cm. I had light spotting for a few days after about 1 year with no period. I am 49. My doctor scehduled a hysteroscopy, d&c, and endometrial biopsy. I m concerned. Is this really a necessary procedure??

I actually paying more attention toward clinical symptoms and here that is not being stated like for what you had to go through the sonography, if there is no obvious clinical symptoms then this is nothing to worry but follow up is very important because certain changes are not detected very well, hope this information helps, take care.
