Hello,

The results of the semen analysis are normal regarding appearance, consistency, volume and pH.

Regarding motility of the sperms, there should be 60% sperms showing some motility in the sample. It could be active movement or sluggish. Non-motile sperm percentage should not exceed 40%. Your have 45% sperms in the immotile state that can raise some concern.

As far as the sperm count is 20 million/ml, it is considered normal. Any count above that is fine. You have 95 million sperms in your sample that is absolutely fine and no need to worry about that.

In addition, if strict criteria for sperm morphology is followed, morphologically, 4% sperms should show normal morphology. You have 55% sperms with normal morphology.

Presence of some pus cells indicates presence of some infection.

Thus, I would advise you to visit your sexologist or fertility center for discussion and management regarding the sperm motility and presence of possible infection. You might require a course of antibiotics.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
