What Does This BP Level Indicate While Having Dizziness?
My mother in law had been over medicated about a month ago. we figured that situation out and now for the last week or so she has felt dizzy, can't see with her glasses on..and is pale and forgets EVERYTHING. She went to the Dr.today and her blood pressure was 98/44. I took it at my home tonight and it was 91/51. When I asked if they tried to lower her dose of bp medicine and she replied no. They took her off of depression meds instead.... as a concerned daughter what should I do? And is this a dangerous bp.? What are the warning signs . Should look for.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... This BP level in your mother in law indicate that she is suffering from Hypoension (low blood pressure). Dizziness is a common symptom in low blood pressure. This low blood pressure can arise from overdose of BP lowering drugs, water loss from profuse sweating, diarrhea etc. You can give her increase dose of fluids with some common salt in it. She would improve with time. If she is taking any BP lowering drug. The drug should be stopped or its dose should be reduced
Refer to your physician Hope this information helps
