Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was in a car accident fairly serious and with back trauma and while I had a CT scan they discovered a L5 pars defects, with a fracture on the left and sclerosis on the right. Is that serious I do have constant pained occasion spasms down my legs, should I see a spine doctor.
The CT scan findings are not indicating acute serious medical problem. However, you need to see an orthopedic surgeon in order to determine if you need surgery for the fracture that was found in the CT scan. It's normal to feel pain after car accident. The most important thing is to ensure no serious medical problems are present. Keep in touch with your caring doctor to take the most appropriate medications.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
