What Does This CT Scan Report Indicate?

If my ct scan showed thickening of the vaginal lining and my gp felt a mass during a pelvic exam should I be worried? She told me she was referring me to a Gynocologist how long do I wait for the referral? I am 66 and had a full hysterectomy 15 to 20 years ago.

Hello,

What was hysterectomy done 20 years back?
If there is a thickening in the vaginal lining and a mass is felt on examination, then you should definitely get investigated as early as possible. There can be a possibility for a stump growth. In that case a biopsy needs to be done from the stump mass and rule out cancerous growth in the mass. Sometimes it can be just a wart also.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
