Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my father aged 61 had a carcinoma penis and an operation have been done partial panectomy and the doctor said his cancer was within the margin everything is free of tumor, but the doctor suggested one more operation of the lymph nodes for biapsy and we had a CT scan and it says Inguinal lymphnode noted right-12X9mm,11X9mm, left-17X9mm, no evident para aortic lymphadenopathy. And the impression is Bilateral inguinal lymphadenopathy Left renal cortical cyst What does it means and is there chances of cancer again and does it have a cure. What are the chances of cure. Thankyou
Based on the history you have shared, this report shows that there is enlargement of inguinal area lymph nodes and you must get biopsy done to see if these lymph nodes have any cancer or not. Because having such large lymph nodes is not normal. Plus, there is possible chemotherapy and radiotherapy for these lymph nodes and spread but it depends on the type and extend of disease.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
