What Does This CT Scan Report Indicate?

After ct scan the commment from doctor were : 1.multiple lacunar cerebral infarction of bilateral gangalia regions 2.Encephalomalalacia at left parieatal lobe 3Caratoid atheroslerosis associated with vessels narrowing and carotid insufficiency should be considered.CTA of cerebral is suggetstes. My question is if the patient is diagonised the above is it possible to be cured. Regards, Nathan Dokwani

Hi Nathan,
Thank you for contacting healthcare magic.
Report shows :
1) there are multiple clots in an area (ganglia) of the brain
2)there is softening or loss of some brain tissue at left parietal lobe (it can be due to clots, brain hemorrhage, or any other brain injury)
3)carotid artery is narrowed due to fatty deposition in its walls and is probably providing insufficient blood to the brain.
Now radiologist is advising CTA (CT angiogram for detailed view of the blood vessel) and treatment will be planned.
It may not be 100% cured but patient can be managed to have a better life.
