Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a CT scan and an indeterminate 8 mm hypo density within the lower pole of the left kidney was found. It was too small to be characterized. Suggested a contrast CT scan or ultrasound to further characterization. I have left flank pain off and on and sometimes it travels around to the abdomen. I have very congested lymphs on the left side from a recent osteomyelitis surgery on my left jaw bone. Is this a serious issue? Can this be cancer? Tumor? Parasites? Lyme? I am a dental hygienist and have had Mercury toxicity issues in the past. I know that Mercury likes to be deposited in the kidneys. So do Lyme spirochete also. I have been diagnosed with Lyme, coinfections, CIRS and have a variation of MTHFR A1298c. Any information you can give me would be helpful. I will be following up with my doc ASAP. Thank you!

What Does This CT Scan Report Indicate?
Hello, A very small lesion of 8 mm can be a cyst but surely not a cancer. Cysts are usually harmless. Nothing to worry. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best. Regards, Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
