What Does This CT Scan Report Mean?

Hello my son is 4 years old and had a CT scan today. The Dr said it s normal but I read the report when I got home. Can you tell me what mild asymmetric prominence of extra axial CSF in the left temporal region extending and widening the left Sylvain fissure is? To where I can understand please

Hello madam/sir, welcome to medical care magic.
CSF is crebro spinal fluid which surrounds the brain.This fuid also runs between the brain lobes(parts). These are called fissures. in this scan it is mentioned left side horizontally placed fissure which separates the lower part of brain from upper part is more. So more fluid is flowing in this passage. As it is not pressing any structures nor any symptoms,doesn’t really have to worry about it.
