What Does This CT Scan Report Mean?

I have had a few weeks of some strange symptoms. Started with a dizzy spell and then i had 2 weeks of feeling very unsteady and had trouble doing some fine motor work (putting paper tabs in those little plastic file tabs and cutting straight with scissors was another thing). Doctor prescribed me stemetil for the dizziness 3 times a day and while i have improved a little since seeing my physio therapist the morning of having my CT scan, I am concerned as it says I need an MRI for confirmation but i am claustrophobic and am terrified of having it. Here is my CT finding: There appears to be degenerative spondylosis level C5/6 with prominent central and right of central disc osteophyte complex with moderate pressure anterolateral on the thecal sac and likely spinal cord with mild foraminal narrowing on the right. confirmation with mri advised. What does this all mean please

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Feeling of dizziness can be due to compression of cervical nerves due to spondylosis at level C5-C6 and osteophyte formation. Osteophyte formation is a degenerative and irreversible process. The condition can be managed with exercises and pain killers. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
