Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
CT scan shows 1. Bony and cartilaginous external auditory canal peripheral thickening of the skin leading up to the tympanic membrane. The bilateral tympanic membranes are thickened and bowed inward. 2. A few sparsely opacified right greater than left mastoid air cells are noted 3. High riding right jugular bulb noted. Could you explain this?
There is multiple thickening and calcifications are detected in the the external ear. Most probably it will be normal wear and tear or a sequele of old infection. Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
If you are asymptomatic, nothing much to worry and no further treatment is required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
