Hello Doctor I did a CT scan & here is my result Technique Coronal scanning is performed with bone window,with emphasis on osteomeatal complex Findings 1. Mucosal thickening in bilateral maxillary and ethmoidal sinuses 2. The left sphenoid sinus shows mucosal thickening in its lateral wall 3. There is also complete opacification of the left frontal sinus 4. The right sphenoidal and the right frontal sinus appears within normal limits. 5. No bony change 6. Nasal turbinates are engorged 7. The right fronto-ethamoidal recess is patent 8. Both Osteomeatal complexes are blocked 9. Nasal septum is in the mid line 10. Nasal roof and floor are normal Impression Bilateral Maxillary,Ethmoidal and Left Frontal and Sphenoidal Sinusitis with blocked OM UNIT.
1. Blocked OM unit means that the sinuses are not draining themselves and that is why the mucus build up. 2. Operative management is usually advisable.
