What Does This CT Scan Test Result For Abdominal Pain Indicate?
I have done a CT scan recently for my low right abdominal pain. The CT scan result come back as The small bowel is within normal caliber .My question is that: does that mean most likely I don t have small bowel cancer? How well does CT scan detect small bowel cancer?
Hi there, yes it simply means the small bowel loops are with in normal limits so there is nothing to be afraid of. A CT scan for Abdomen most likely detects abnormalities as any change in normal pattern will be hypo or hyperechogenic in the CT film.
Thanks
Regards Dr Varun
