Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi I had a ct scan done and the findings are of the following: Homogeneous echotexture. The liver measured 15.3 cm. There are no focal echogenic or hypoechoic masses. can u please help me understand this further? I was also toldi have a nodule on my liver
Warm Welcome. I appreciate your trust in HCM and assure you are on best portal on the globe for expert online medical services. I have reviewed your health query and well realized all the concerns.
Based on what your CT report, you most likely have hepatomegaly (enlarged liver) and there are several reasons for that. I would require a detailed history from you to get a better idea about what you might be having.
Also there is a contradiction in your sentences i.e report says there is no focal mass in liver and you are told that there is nodule. You might have misheard or misinterpreted as there is no focal mass/nodule noted in report.
Hope I addressed all the concerns you have. Let me know if you have further questions. I will be more than happy to clear any doubts. Keep a follow up to see how you doing.
Regards! Dr. Ali Raza
