Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My DLC Counting are as below- Segmented Neutrophils 86 Lymphocytes. 10.70 Monocytes 1.90 ALC Neutrophils is 9.18 Whether it's a sign of TB?? My age is 25 Male and my Chest X-ray reports are showing No active disease of Lung. Accentuated Markings have been noted and hilar shadows are heavy as per Chest report
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. Your DLC count result shows increase in neutrophils & there is also increase in absolute neutophil count. This report shows some kind of recent acute infection in you, But not Tuberculosis. In TB there is increase in lymphocyte count, which is decreased in you. So there is no question of tuberculosis.
Accentuated marking & heavy hilar shadows is quite a common finding in chest x-rays. It could mean anything from normal to very serious disease, if associated with other symptom of disease. These finding are commonly seen in smoker, acute pneumonia, asthma, etc. If the symptom of diseases are present. Consult a pulmonologist for refferal
Hope this information helps.
