I had an ECG done yesterday as part of the pre-op for surgery on Nov 11. The report listed: Probable left atrial abnormality and Right atrial abnormality. I had an ECG in May 2016 by a cardiologist prior to my bilateral mastectomy, but was told all was OK, but did confirm that I had a very slight heart murmur. I had an echo a few years ago but was told it was not anything to worry about. What does this most recent ECG mean?
Hello Dear. ECG suggest some defect in the blood filling in the atrial chamber of heart. This may cause some breathlessness, fatigue, swelling of legs etc. Kindly discuss with your cardiologist and take appropriate medicines, so that your problem is rectified.
