Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mom is 74 years young. She has lost 30 lbs in past year thru diet and exercise. She is having a facelift tomorrow and I just received her EKG. HR 68. Sinus rhythm, Low voltage, pre cordial leads, Borderline T abnormalities, anterior leads Axis. P 44. QRS 26. T 26 What does her ECG results mean? Is it safe to go thru surgery. She is so excited to have this done.
Hello. Nothing too worrisome about the EKG here. The borderline T abnormalities don't indicate any problem with her coronary artery blood flow and the low voltage only means her heart is a little on the small size but otherwise healthy. There should be no problem with her having the surgery.
