What Does This EKG Test Finding Indicate?

Left ventricular hypertrophy with repolarization abnormality - is that okay? My dad had that show up on his EKG tonight after passing out twice with blood pressure 70/50. But BP was 135/90 by the time EKG was taken. Should he be going to a hospital or is it okay to wait until tomorrow?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for your question!
Left ventricular hypertrophy is a condition where the muscle ( myocardium ) of the left ventricular thickening for different reason. The most common cause of Left ventricular hypertrophy is untreated High Blood Pressure.
Other cause include : Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and Aortic valve stenosis, in this case the Aortic valve is narrowed causing an obstruction of blood flow . So the left ventricle needs to work harder than usually does, to be able to pump the blood into the aorta so it gets thickeni.
Its a serious condition that needs proper treatmen. I would reccomend you to visit a cardiologist to perform some more test like Heart Ultra Sound, and to start a good drug therapy. ( Treating high blood pressure with antihypertensive drugs) olso tkae in consideration Artic valve stenosis for possible AVR).
Best regards!
