Hello doctor., I am 26 yrs old.. Since one month I have one node in my neck. I took FNAC test. That cytology report smear shows only scattered lymphocytes in haemorrhagic background . Impression: Suggestive of reactive adenitis.. What is that? Is there any worry about that? Is this TB or cancer?? My symptoms are Feeling tired most of times.. I am not able to eat spicy food.. Frequently get cold in throat.. Plz can u answer my question.. Thanku
1.reactive adenitis means enlargement of lymphnode secondary to viral or bacterial infection or inflammatory conditions. 2.it is TB , because in TB it shows caressing granuloma with gaint epitheloid cells 3. it's not cancer , it shows malignant cells with high mitotic index.
I am suspecting that you have throat inflammation and that is the cause of your nodes.
