What Does This HSG Test Results For Uterus Indicate?
I have done my Wife s HSG aged 32 never Pregnant and Right ovary removed by Laproscopic Surgery. Report is as follows:Uterine Cavity appears Normal,No filling Defect seen,Both fallopian tubes is not visualised,No spill seen on both sides,Impression : B/L Blocked Uterine tubes. Could you plesase suggest what does this report suggest. What is mean t by No spill seen on both sides and Both fallopian tubes is not visualised
Hello, Thank you for asking at HCM. I carefully read you question. Normally during HSG a solution is introduced in the uterine cavity and some of it should go through the fallopian tubes (that connect the uterus with the ovaries for the egg to travel) and some of that fluid ends up in the abdomen (spills inside the abdomen within the bowels). During the xray this solution is seen and visualizes the uterus, the fallopian tubes and the abdominal cavity both sides of the tubes. If the fallopian tubes are blocked for any reason this makes no passage of the solution and the fallopian tubes are not visualized and no spill of the solution is seem in the abdominal cavity. Very likely your wife has blocked fallopian tubes both sides which might be a cause of infertility. She needs to speak with a doctor to have other tests to find the cause and treat it. Hope this is helpful and answers to your question.
