What Does This MRI Report For A Bone Spur Indicate?

Yes. I had an x-ray on my knee joint area. The diagnosis was a that of of a spurs. A MRI test was performed at which time two torn meniscus were found (front anterior and a horizontal tear). I am quite anxious about both injuries, not to mention how I received them. What are your recommendation(s)? Is surgery recommended? If yes, is the surgery invasive (minimal to major). Also, what it the recovery time? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello,

Torn meniscus require surgery since the stability of knee joint is reduced post trauma. The surgery can be done arthroscopically and is minimally invasive.

Recovery time is quite short for minimally invasive surgery and you can regain mobility of joint within short span of time. I suggest you to discuss treatment, recovery time and post-operative period in full detail with your orthopedician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks and take care
