Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a total knee replacement 5 years. I still have some pain. The surgeon told me it is most likely bursitis since the X-Ray shows the replacement to be fine. I am in need of another total knee replacement on my other knee. Unfortunately I was just recently told by MRI that I also have torn medial meniscus. I am not sure returning to the same orthopedic surgeon, although I made an appt. to see what he has to say. I found another surgeon who also has a good reputation. However he does surgery at a different hospital. However, he belongs to the same group of orthopedic doctors as the one who did mine. This could be a problem. Is it ok to switch to another doctor in the same medical group?
