Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im looking for a little help understanding my MRI findings.... here goes. This one is from today. Findings: The vertebral body heights and alignment are normal. Hemangioma is present within the T4 vertebral body. Degenerative discogenic changes are most significant at C4-C5 and C5-C6 levels. The posterior fossa is normal. Praspinal muscles are symmetric. C2-C3: No neural foraminal stenosis. C3-C4: No neural foraminal stenosis. C4-C5: Central disc protrusion effaces the ventral thecal sac. The neural foraminal are patent. Findings are unchanged. C5-C6: Uncovertebral osteophytes result in unchanged moderate bilateral neural foraminal stenosis. Posterior disc osteophyte complex effaces the ventral thecal sac. C6-C7: No neural foraminal stenosis. C7-T1: No neural foraminal stenosis. IMPRESSION: No interval change. No nerve root impingement or severe central spinal stenosis. Here are the findings from 2010 Findings: There is overall straightening of the cervical spine with the loss of normal cervical lordosis. Cervical vertebrae are of appropriate signal intensity. At C5-6, there is a diffuse disc bulge which results in moderate to severe spinal canal narrowing. There is bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing. At C4-5, there is a prominent central subligamentous disc protrusion resulting in severe spinal canal narrowing. This does contact the anterior aspect of the spinal cord. There is no significant neuroforaminal narrowing. The cervical spine is otherwise felt to be unremarkable. Impression: 1. Degenerative changes as described in greater detail above.
