What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

I had a cprtisone injection today after an mri revealed a meniscus tear and degenerative along with fluid in my right knee. I went down 2 sets of stairs and then a few blocks and then proceeded to step off the curb to cross the street, All of a sudden it felt like something tore and I experienced the worse pain, After that I could not bear any weight at all on my leg, I called my doctor and they said to rest it for 2 hours and if the pain does not subside go to the ER or urgent care, I feel if I go there the doctors there will not know me. Plus, my physician is in another county so I would not even see my docotr.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to healthcare magic community . I'm really concerned about your problem and very sorry for your agony and anguish and I can feel your concern.Actually there are two cusion like structures in both knees which work like shock absorbers called medial and lateral lemnisci . Your MRI reveals that one of this lemnisci is torn and plus there is inflammation due to which there is Fluid too . Now you need urgent care for pain and discomfort . you can use Advil or naproxen and take rest . Please do apply a knee brace for reduced movement in the knee joint . Going to ER is no problem and hope doctors will help you . if you can bear do wait for your treating doctor , and no need to worry this condition is treatable . Hope I have answered your question . Please do ask follow up questions if needed .
