Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 46 year old male with a history of inflamatory diseases and a weak immune system suffering various symptoms the most prominent of which is a tremor in my left hand and forearm. An MRI showed involutional changes of uncertain significance, DaTscan showed a possible small infarct in mid portion of right striatum. Visible symptoms: Recurring/relapsing tremor in left hand, of variable severity. Drooping left eyelid, weakened left vocal chord. I can accept that many of these may have been caused by the infarction but would this explain the tremor which is becoming something of an issue for me.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, MRI findings are not related with the symptoms of tremors, and such tremors could be essential one and this is nothing to worry because it can be managed with drug if proven essential tremor second Parkinson's disease need to be ruled out too, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
