Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had a fracture mi shows displaced fracture through the radial head involving maximally 25%of the cross section area of the radial head and a displaced fracture through the posterior ascent of the radial notch of the adjacent ulna wat will be treatment for this
Most likely the displaced fracture will be reduced (put back in normal alignment) conservatively and may get a plaster cast involving the thumb. The cast will remain for 4 - 6 weeks followed by Physiotherapy / Occupational therapy sessions. Starting Physiotherapy / Occupational therapy immediately after the cast will help reduce rehab timespan.
