Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Year ago I had an MRI on my hip and pelvic area because having so much pain on side of waist into pelvic bone. They found a subchondral cyst formation in the acetabulum consistent with osteoarthritis. It was on my previous MRI but has progressed. Osteophyte formation has also progressed. All this past year this has hurt every day and now is almost unbearable. Each step I take or any bit of weight put on that leg hurts so much. Is this just old arthritis and what can be done? I had lower back surgery last April and I was hoping this would go away after that, but didn t and has gotten SO much worse. Please advise. Issn t there something like Celebrex I could take?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the arthritis condition then it may needs long term treatment, some time steroid can be tried under medical supervision, you have not mentioned your age and gender which is most needed, MRI test result needs to be correlate with clinical condition, hope this information helps.
