I ve had four arthroscopic surgeries/left knee. The pain continues. Recent Mri indicates the following 1 oblique tear of the posterior horn and body of the Mcl extending to the inferior articular surface 2 worsening subchondral bone marrow edema 3 strain of the McL What does all that mean in English Another surgery?
Tears are tears in the cartilage (the lining surface of the joint). Subchondral edema means there is inflammation under where that cartilege should be.
The strain of the medial crusicate ligament is not that serious and is just some inflammation in a tendon.
