Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I had an MRI for lower back pain. The MRI also showed a T2 hyperintense left renal lesion measuring approximately 1 cm having mild, non-specific perinephric standing. Is this something to be concerned about and should I follow up with my urologist. Thanks
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. It looks like benign cyst from this report however, it woul dbe good to wait urologist examination. In every case, it doesnt sound serious at this point and it will just need to be frequently followed up by ultrasound every 6 months. I dont think that surgery is required.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
