What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

I thought I might have had a TIA recently - went to a neurologist and he sent me for MRI s which I just got the report. It looks like I was right. The report says Sequela of a prior probably partially hemorrhagic infarction in the right caudate . Same in the superior left cerebellum. Soft tissue lesion. Blood products identified with some associated malacic changes in the superior left cerebellum which might be secondary to a prior hemorrhage 1.6 x 2 cm in size. What do you think? The doctor assigned to me looks like he just got out of medical school? Should I find someone with more experience or is this not a terribly bad diagnosis? He also told me to go to a cardiologist for an echo cardiogram and wear a halter monitor to rule out sleep apnea. I am an active golf playing woman 76 1/2 years old that takes no medication except for Famotodine for acid reflux, Prolia for osteoporosis, Calcium and Vitamin D.

Dear Madam,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic for further explanations concerning your complaints, MRI report and physician advice!
Your MRI report says there have been some previous vascular accidents (small hemorrhagic infarctions) manifested as malacia and blood products in your deep brain stuctures (right caudate) as well as small brain ones (superior left cerebellum). However, nothing seems extraordinary to make you consider it a terrible condition, but you should follow your physician advice in order to prevent future cerebral events. Echocardiogram and Holter monitoring are important to rule out any heart valvular disease or rhythm disorders that lead to such a condition.
Meanwhile you may keep following your hobbys and performing regular physical activity.
Hope this will be helpful.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Thank you!
Dr. Juarda
