What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

Mild to moderate nonspecific periventricular and subcortical white matter disease with mild background cerebral volume loss. 14 mm multiloculated cyst causing smooth scalloping of the left greater wing of sphenoid, and which appears to communicate with the left anterior temporal extra-axial space. Question a possible small meningocele versus prominent arachnoid granulation. I am a 67 year old female are these significant findings on a MRI of the brain?

Radiologist 's  Response
periventricular and subcortical white matter disease with mild background cerebral volume loss is age related and commonly seen in old people.
regarding the multiloculated cyst the radiologist has given two possible causes.
1-if it is arachnoid cyst, then there is nothing to worry about.
2- if it is a meningocoele, then still not too much to worry about, but you should make sure how it has developed. e.g. it can develop after trauma, or it may be present since birth.
