General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Lumbar lordosis is a slight inward curve of the spine which is normal. In your report, the normalcy is changed. Spinal cord is the collection of nerve which runs through the spinal canal in each vertebrae. Spinal nerves from the cord comes out through the neural foramina on the two sides and supply the organs.

Your reports says there is bilateral neural foraminal stenosis that is narrowing of the canal at L4-L5 and L3-L4 level. This stenosis results in spinal nerve compression which in turn causes pain in the supplying organs. Physiotherapy is the first line of treatment to correct the defect and symptoms. Surgery is the secondary option on severe nerve compression or progressive condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pradeepraj, General & Family Physician
