What Does This MRI Report Of Cervical Spine Indicates?
Hi I had a MRI done recently and was wondering if you would be able to tell me what it means in layman terms. The report says,in relation to the MRI Cervical Spine there is a central posterior bulge of the C5/6 disc causing mild impression upon the theca sac and mild broad based left paracentral C6/7 disc bulge with mild effacement of the theca sac .Regards Wayne
welcome to Health care magic. 1.This indicates the disc which is suppose to be in between two vertebrae has moved posteriorly. 2.And causing pressure effect on nerve and the spinal chord. 3.Which will gives symptoms like pain, numbness, tingling. 4.In order to get rid of this symptoms, the pressure effect has to be removed. 5.It is done according to your symptoms and findings. 6. starting from simple exercises to neck support in severe cases interventional procedures.
