Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
there are bony degenerative changes and sign of degenerative disc disease throughout the celvical spine but moderate to advanced at the C5-6 and C6-7 level at the C5-6 there is prominent osteophyte disc bulge complex formation which narrow the AP thecal sac dimension to aproximately 8.5mm consistent whit mild to moderate spinal stenosis . in addition this creates moderate to several left neural foraminal narrowing in conjunction with facet joint arthropathy
Prominent osteophyte disc bulge in MRI report is indicative of narrowing of the cervical canal due to marginal endplate osteophytes. There is mild to moderate spinal stenosis diagnosed which needs to be treated (by medicines, physiotherapy, surgery if required).
Stay connected with your treating GP. Neglect may result in worsening of the symptoms with myelopathy or neuropathic complications developing. Left neural foraminal narrowing in MRI is indicative of spinal canal or nerve passageways (foramen) becoming narrow.
Cervical foraminal stenosis or Cervical stensis, both the conditions cause the spinal cord and/or nerves to get compressed. Get follow up medical examinations and treatment done.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
