What Does This MRI Report Of Spine Indicate?

FINDINGS: Vertebral body height is preserved. There is mild straightening of the normal cervical lordosis. Craniocervical junction is patent and homogeneous signal is seen within the cervical cord. No significant abnormalities are seen from C1 through C4 levels. At C4-C5 level, there is a small central disc protrusion contacting the cord without compression. The canal and foramina remain patent. At C5-C6 level, there is similar shallow central disc protrusion abutting the ventral aspect of the cord without compression. Mild disc degeneration is seen. The canal and foramina are patent. C6-C7 level is within normal. C7-T1 level is within normal. IMPRESSION: Small central disc protrusions at C4-C5 and C5-C6 levels, contacting the ventral cord without compression seen at either level. No significant central spinal canal stenosis is present.
