What Does This MRI Report Of Spine Specify?

My MRI reports: L3-L4 mild diffusely bulging disc. Moderate facet hypertrophy and hypertrophied ligamentum flavum. Moderate narrowing is noted of the left lateral recess. Mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing is noted. L4-L5 Moderate diffusely bulging disc. Moderate facet hypertrophy and hypertrophied ligamentum flavum. Mild spinal canal stenosis. Moderate bilateral lateral recess narrowing is noted. Moderate right neuroforaminal narrowing is noted, abutting the exiting right L3 nerve root. Mild left neuroforaminal narrowing is noted. L5-S1 Mild diffusely bulging disc. Mild left moderate facet hypertrophy is noted. Moderate right lateral recess narrowing is noted, abutting the descending right S1 nerve. Mild left lateral recess is noted. Severe left neural foraminal narrowing and abuts the exiting left L5 nerve root. Mild right neural foraminal narrowing is noted. Is it possible for you to tell me in plain English what all this means? I am in daily pain. I have received a number of injections but still pain. I would like to know if surgery would be an answer. thank you, patti
