How serious is this MRI? Procedure]: Standard pulse sequences are obtained. Findings: There is no evidence of a fracture, subluxation or focal bony lesion. Mild T2 signal loss noted from C2-C3 at C5-C6 level. The signal intensities from the vertebra and the disk spaces otherwise appear within normal limits. At C3-C4 level, diffuse posterior disc bulging noted causing moderate narrowing of the left neural canal and mild to moderate narrowing of the right neural canal. Spinal canal is also mild to moderately narrowed due to disc bulging and mild congenital narrowing. Mild mass effect noted on the ventral surface of the spinal cord. At C4-C5 level, annular disc bulging noted causing mild to moderate narrowing of both neural canals.Spinal canal is also mild to moderately narrowed due to disc bulging and mild congenital narrowing. At C5-C6 level, broad-based mild posterocentral disc bulging noted.Spinal canal is also mild to moderately narrowed due to disc bulging and mild congenital narrowing. Neural canals appear unremarkable. At C6-C7 level, mild annular disc bulging noted causing mild narrowing of both neural canals. Spinal canal is also mild to moderately narrowed due to disc bulging and mild congenital narrowing. At C7-T1 level, mild posterolateral disc bulging and facet joint hypertrophic change noted causing moderate narrowing of both neural canals, slightly more on the right side. Spinal canal appear unremarkable. Disc spaces otherwise appear unremarkable.Odontoid process, prevertebral soft tissue, visualised brain, spinal cord and the surrounding soft tissues appear unremarkable. IMPRESSION: 1. At C7-T1 level moderate stenosis noted of both neural canals, slightly more on the right side. 2. Mild congenital spinal canal stenosis noted at C3-C4 through C6-C7 levels . 3. Other findings as discussed above.
