What does this mean; few small foci of increased signal intensity on flair an t2, weighted images within the more peripheral cerebral white matter?? Could this be caused by a car wreck? An what the signs? Also, what is inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, there a slight deviation of nasal septum? An is this caused by a car wreck.
It can be a normal thing in a senile brain and is the mri appareance of a process called gliosis, but it can be an appareance of other processes like vasculitis, post traumatic event, demyelination process and other things. Inflamation of the paranasal sinuses is called sinusitis. In MRI you have liquid secretions in one or more of the paranasal sinuses, and post gadolium impregnations of the sinus walls. Nasal deviation can be post child traumatic event so it can be after a car accident in childhood.
