My MRI findings say ...There is parenchymal volume loss involving the superior aspect of the cerebellar vermis and superior aspect of the cerebellar hemispheres... I was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia about 4 years ago and had this MRI as an update. What does this mean?
The MRI features are suggestive of cerebellar atrophy which is seen in known cases of Cerebellar ataxia the cause of which can be manifold..Specific diagnosis for the same would be genetic analysis and associated symptoms of spinaly involvement For treatment only symptomatic treatment is posssible with no permanent cure
