What Does This MRI Report Signify?

I am a 60 year old female and have had symptoms for 6 months... sense of slipping when I walk, on the right side. Pain under occipital on right side. severe cramping of hand and feet 2 or 3 times a month. a buzzing feeling, as if someones cell phone is on vibrate, laying on the bench I am sitting on. I had an MRI without contrast and the results were: Chronic Ischemic White Matter Microvascular disease . what next?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the MRI report you have mentioned.
Chronic ischemic changes with micro vascular disease means Atherosclerosis of brain vessels. So get done MR angiography of brain.
This will tell you about severity of Atherosclerosis and blood supply to brain is adequate or not.
Blood thinners, aspirin and clopidogrel for life long is the treatment of choice.
Get done cholesterol levels and if high, Statins (lipid lowering agents) should be started.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
