I have MS I know but recently I had a cold, and lots of pressure in my eyes and headache so I got an MRI, these were the results. What do you suggest as treatment or will it pass. EXAM TYPE: MRI of the Brain Without Contrast CLINICAL INDICATION: Multiple sclerosis. TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar, multi-weighted sequences were obtained. FINDINGS: There is a mucous retention cyst in the left maxillary sinus. There is no intracranial hemorrhage. There is no mass effect or midline shift. Ventricles are of normal size. There is no hydrocephalus. There are no extraaxial fluid collections. There is no evidence of stroke or demyelinating process. There is no tonsillar ectopia. Corpus callosum is unremarkable. There is normal appearance of Meckel’s cave bilaterally. There is normal intracranial carotid and basilar flow voids demonstrated. There is mucous membrane thickening of the right ethmoid sinus. There is no intracranial mass. Hippocampi are unremarkable. IMPRESSION: 1. There is a mucous retention cyst in the left maxillary sinus. 2. Mucous membrane thickening of the right ethmoid sinus.
