I have back pain form last four years. A few days ago I did a mri test. Impression of my mri is ---- above findings are likely due to diffuse annular bulge at L4-5 level causing impingement of left exiting nerve root, diffuse annular bulge at L5-S1 with postero-central disc protrusion causing indentation of thecal sac with no neural compromise
there are cartilage discs between the vertebrae of our spine. with advancing age, they become weak and sometimes after trauma or heavy lifting, the disc may slip or bulge posteriorly causing compression of the nerves that are travelling immediately posterior to the discs. the compression of the nerves, which are supplying the limbs, causes pain and numbness. same is the case with you. 2 of the discs in your lumber spine have bulged posteriorly causing compression of the nerve roots. i suggest you take physiotherapy sessions and consult pain management physicians.
