Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This MRI Test Result For Brain Indicate?
What does this mean? Subtle small focus of T2/FLAIR hyperintensity in the high left frontal lobe which is a nonspecific finding which might be seen with migraines. Other differential diagnosis includes vasculitis, demyelinating process, or early small vessel disease.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The MRI of brain has shown certain non-specific which have to be correlated with clinical findings. These findings can be seen in various disorders like blood vessel disorder- vasculitis or small vessel disease. Vasculitis is inflammation of walls of blood vessels. Another possibility that is put forth is demyelinating process- it is a process wherein the myelin sheath of nerves is lost. This process may be age related or may be part of some auto-immune or idiopathic process. I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for clinical correlation and further management.
