What Does This MRI Test Result For Brain Indicate?

50 yr old woman, MRI shows extra-axial fluid collection to left of middle fossa. Having sharp intense pain, intermittent. Pain is noticed upon exertion. What could have caused this collection of fluid? Always healthy, except for underactive thyroid for the past 15 or so years.

Extra-axial collection of fluid in middle fossa cold be due to infection or inflammation. Associated pain could be due to stretching or pressure on surrounding dura or covering of brain.
